6 Reasons Why
You Should be Lazy!

6 reasons why you should be lazy.

Laziness, in many ways, is an appealing prospect! Not everybody gets to be lazy though, so it is important for those who are NOT lazy to know what they are missing out on.

There ARE different levels of “lazy,” so some of this information is subjective. For the most part, though, most of the reasons why you should be lazy fit into the parameters that we want.

  1. You don’t want to accomplish anything in your life.
Laziness means that you have no ambition or desire to be, do, or create anything. This means that while you sit around being lazy, you won’t have to worry about reaching goals, or making an impact on the world in any way. Whew! What a relief!
  2. You want to be overweight.
It is much easier to be lazy and eat, than it is to get up and exercise (gross!). Then while you are lounging around, the fat cells in your body are doing the work of storing the extra weight that you want. So even though YOU aren’t working, your body IS. Amazing! That’s called “lazy work.” The best part is, is that when you are overweight, you won’t be able to lean over and tie your shoelaces. That’s good, because then you would be exerting yourself…and we will have none of that.
  3. You don’t need money.
What’s the point of having money if you don’t need to spend it on anything? Just be content where you are, sitting and watching television or playing your video games day in and day out. Even if you DO have a job, if you will make just enough to have something to eat and to buy more video games, without exerting yourself, you have got it made.
  4. You don’t need friends.
It’s a chore to go out and make friends; and doing a chore and laziness do not gel. If you DO have friends that hang out with you on the couch, then you haven’t been lazy enough. It took some effort to pick up the phone to invite them over. Plus it took effort to get out of bed in the first place to go sit on the couch. Tsk, tsk, tsk!!
  5. You have no interest in extra-curricular activities.
Hobbies, dance clubs, sports, pets are all activities. “Activity” is a word that has the opposite meaning of laziness. Don’t get caught up in the world of reading, or laughing, or brushing your teeth…it will take away from your lackadaisical ways.
  6. You want to die young.
“My only regret is that I wasn’t more lethargic.” is the thought most people think right before they die. Don’t you be one of those people. Since you don’t really have a purpose for living, and you don’t take care of yourself physically, or mentally, or spiritually, or anyway-ally, and you don’t have any people surrounding you who love you or who want to take care of you, then you are bound to leave this world early. It’s a good thing you were lazy!

“A life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things. There will be sleeping enough in the grave.”
Benjamin Franklin
